Learn How to Podcast

Cliff Ravenscraft A bunch of people asked me how to podcast. I was about to do all kinds of work to answer you with my thoughts, and then I remembered the Podcast Answer Man, Cliff Ravenscraft. You don’t need my help Cliff can help you. He’s the go-to guy. I strongly endorse Cliff’s work, and if you want to get a podcast up and off the ground, Cliff’s a great resource.

Check out Learn How to Podcast, for instance. Top shelf stuff!

Want to go deeper? This looks great, too.

Oh, and I have no ulterior motives to recommend Cliff. I just asked who was the go-to guy to answer this or that about podcasting these days, and Lynette Young reminded me that duh, Cliff’s the guy to ask about this stuff.

Have at it.

Wow! Thank you so much Chris. I didn’t wake up this morning, expecting to see this. I am extremely thankful for your glowing endorsement!

Congrats on the new “The Human Business Way” podcast. I’ve enjoyed the three episodes that I’ve listened to recently and I am looking forward to more!

Thank you again for this wonderful surprise!

    • http://chrisbrogan.com/ Chris Brogan

You earned it with years of dedication. I’ve always liked you for who you are and what you do, and I’ve not always been sure how you’d make it all work for you, but when I see you, I see someone who was determined and who made it happen.

The only words I want to say in response to this are, “thank you again.” #MadeMyDay!

  • shelia

Totally agree – he’s who I used and the person I suggest to others. Cliff is awesome.

      hi Sheila,
Just watched your podcast for first time because the title “Successful Women Talk” hooked me. I’m impressed. Will tell others interested in successful women about you

I couldn’t agree more. Cliff’s help was essential when I launched the Construction Industry Podcast and continues to be an invaluable resource as I produce the show. He’s also a great friend with a heart of gold.

Cliff rocks! I hired Cliff to kick off our podcast for Social Media Examiner, so I strongly agree with you

    • Paul O’Mahony

Michael – what’s the best way to sample your podcast?

  • http://www.twitter.com/erikjfisher/ Erik Fisher

I’ve learned almost all I know about Podcasting from Cliff. He’s a great guy, and a greater friend.

I’ve worked in radio and teach public speaking. I think it’s time to start podcasting. Thanks for the motivation.

There are so many ways you can benefit from a podcast. Jump on in the water.

Cool. Look forward to checking out the latest show.

Question. What piece of hardware would you recommend buying for podcasting if all you have is $100 to start with?

    • http://chrisbrogan.com/ Chris Brogan

If you want to use your laptop as the back end, get the Blue Tiki USB mic: http://hbway.com/tiki . I’m LOVING mine.

    • Podcastcoach

There is a great USB/XLR microphone for $43 fro Audio Technica. It’s the ATR2100-USB. It sounds just as good as a $300 Hwil PR40

Thanks for the info Chris. The responses below also verify that you are spot on in making this recommendation!

  • Brian Collyer

Very cool, I agree, I have learned so much from Cliff over the
recent months about podcasting, outstanding sound quality, goal setting and
much, much more. He is a great friend and a huge support to me and my podcast show.

    Thanks for Sharing nice informtion

  • Brian Wallace

I couldn’t agree more. You can spend hours scouring the internet for piecemeal information or you can go right to the source. Cliff’s stuff is great and he wants the best for everyone he works with.

Will be following up directly with Cliff. Thanks for sharing his info. The new platforms and smart phones have made listening to podcasting so much easier. On my way up to UCLA two weeks ago I turned the radio off and cranked up one of my new favorite podcast platforms and listened to Chris’ interviews and several others. Very cool. Cliff, I’ll be reviewing all your resources and getting in in touch!!! Mitch

Ditto. I watched the free “Learn How to Podcast” course that Chris mentions above. Then I wanted more, so I took Cliff’s “Podcasting A to Z” course that Chris linked to, and it was without a doubt the fastest and most cost-effective way to launch a podcast with the quality-level that I was hoping for. Cliff knows what he is talking about, with real-life application, and he is a great guy too.

His next “A to Z” course starts January 14, and I predict it will sell out soon. So if you’ve thought about launching a podcast, start your new year on the right foot by registering now!

Wow Cliff – you are now irresistible. Over here in Cork Ireland, I’ve never heard of you. Now – after what the others have said – I feel like becoming your agent (brand advocate – mad raving fan) & that’s purely on the basis of my “trust agent” Brogan & Co.
