I watched it earlier when you tweeted it. I enjoyed very much. I'm half way through your book now and recognized some of the references. I'm realizing that there is so much more than I knew to being a Trust Agent in my industry

AMAZING point about the difference in having a conversation/relationship with a Twitter contact at a company and the customer service department.

Chris that's the best exposition of how to properly use Twitter that I've heard. A pity none of the Parisians laughed at your 1-liners, but you're a masterful speaker nonetheless. And a tireless operator as your Overnight Success series attests. Thanks so much for the inspiration – buying myself your book for a Christmas present.

    something like:
    leverage(serendipity x helpfulness) = trustful relationships
trustful relationships x good ideas = attraction
    attraction x value = income
(but income may not be the end game)

Hi Chris. I am really new to this world of connecting and you are a wonderful tour guide. Following your daily messages has been really horizon-expanding and your comments on today’s video about ‘being at the elbow” rang truly. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!

Thanks for this video, Chris. It's too choppy to watch while travelling in India with a 1x connection :(

How about getting a transcript made for
    - those with slow connections
    - those who like written records of live events

You could even add footnotes to explain the one-liners ;)

Your speaking engagements are like fine wine Chris, they just keep getting better and more nuanced over time.

I really liked the point you made about Zappos and the ROI check box — how much is customer service really worth in $ and ¢ ? How about roughly a billion dollars to Amazon.

Also, your explanation of digital nomads I find particularly insightful. It would be great to hear more about how you move between your physical home base and outposts and the digital versions of these places. You are seemingly everywhere and wide open. What do you to protect the things you don't want to share? What are the patterns (signals) amidst the noise?

Most of all, thanks for being a tireless advocate of real human interaction versus the cold, statistically calculated, packaged, homogenized BS that is piped at us like so much bad elevator music everyday. Thank you for that.

cheers for that Chris, great ideas and questions. As many wise folks have stated, it is not about answers, it's about asking the right questions. An answer implies a conclusion and yet we live lives that are ever changing in a wolrd that is ever changing, so the asking of questions that lead to evolution of process is vital.
I have the privilege of MCing conferences and get to listen to some astounding speakers such as Peter Sheehan, Matt Church, Glenn Capelli and maybe one day I may have the privilege of adding your name to that list. Totally relevant, thanks

Great stuff Chris. really like that you direct us to ask questions. I get to MC conferences and events, some of the best speakers I have met and listened to are about the question. An answer implies we have come to a conclusion, yet living as we are, as continually evolving beings from birth to death, amidst an ocean of continually evolving technology on a planet that is continually evolving ( for better or worse! ), we must surely continue to evolve our questions.
    Cheers

A book I read recently and dug more than I expected to was Robert McKee’s “Story” (link from my blog). I figured it would be a formulaic approach to communications, but it veers away from that concept and instead breaks down WHY stories work. It may still be a masculine viewpoint, whereas a feminine viewpoint may better suit your story, but it’s a good building block nonetheless.
