In the realm of cool, this ranks high. Rob Blatt took my free eBook on personal branding and made it into an audiobook.

And a very special thanks to Rob Blatt for his reading, producing, and distributing of the audiobook.

ChrisBrogan.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

Thesis WordPress theme

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like ChrisBrogan.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

  • Thanks so much for the helpful information. This is what I'm looking for. I'll try it and hope to see good result.

This is definitely worth a listen. I think a key point that is drawn out is 'don't fake it' and 'go with the passion'. I was describing recently an approach to take a common theme through the 'hype waves' by slightly changing language and framing. For example, I've been in CSCW and collaboration for about 15 years. There have always been hyped technologies in that field, certainly with Social Media we are seeing an up-swell again. If you keep the message fresh and enrich ideas with emerging technologies it should be possible to stay on top. I also warn that waves hit the beach, and sometimes too close an association 'to the crest' isn't healthy for a long-term position. When a fad dies, so often do those who were its champions.
  • @Susan - I'm fairly sure that's do-able.
  • Terrific! Great idea, Rob. I haven't had time to read the e-Book yet (though it's been sitting on my desktop for a week), but I will definitely be able to listen on my next dog walk.

So, Chris - will your publisher let you and @julien release your book as an audiobook too? :)
  • I'm with Jill, I learn better by doing than reading too. This is great Chris, thanks for tweeting it!
  • Thanks for posting this Chris.

  • Super - thanks to Rob and Chris.

I am one of the many who do better listening than reading (although ( have read about 1/2 of pdf).

Again - thanks for great book, now in audio.
