Aside from the great way the video is created I think it shows a mind shift for organisations as a whole – from controlling to empowering its employs.

    Thanks for sharing.

Very cool! This is (obviously!) a growing concern with many small business owners, as well. If you blog, create content, or are somehow involved in social media/social media marketing then this is not news, really. But for the vast majority of my clients – small business owners – the wave is just overtaking them and it is most definitely “news”, and news they are coming to realize they had better make sense of and soon. I will be sharing this video quite a bit. Thanks for the tip!

Great video, and such an important topic. Many companies are still trying to avoid giving staff access to social media, let alone empowering them to respond to issues.

Great explanation! This is the basis for which all social media outreach should begin.

Not only gives a few guidelines companies can adopt for social media but gives a real world example that drives home the need for companies to engage with the social media world.

    Yes, yes, yes – YES!

Perfect. I like Common Craft – they do explain stuff oh so well.

The clear explanation of guidelines and a checklist for the company employee stroke social media communications champion is essential watching for those in the hot seat. Listen, think, act. Love the closer about linking to resources and acting as future counsel. This is essential and can almost act as a call to action for future trade.

    Great work!

Cool video! Improved filtering should also refine social media overload, and allow us to sift through all the off-topic conversations and find the ones that really matter to businesses who want to focus on the work that needs to be done on a daily basis without missing the conversations that relate to their customers and products… It’s an interesting time…

Wow, this is an awesome video! Thanks for sharing. So many companies are dragging their feet on empowering employees. What’s funny is that they trust employees to speak on behalf of the company on the phone, in person or on email…but they are hesitant to empower on social networking platforms. There’s a lot of power to harness and this video hits the mark with great, real world example. The opportunity is much bigger than the risk!

Social media is everywhere. People flock to these networks to share information. Gradually companies are taking this new approach trying out social medias for empowering their employees as well as their business.

That is a really useful video. We have a really good policy here & do most of the things you describe. It might be worth it for our communications person to make a similar video tailored to our customers & volunteers. Thanks for the inspiration!

Nice video. Very simple and gets the point across. Easy to digest for someone who may not be as savvy on social media.
