Beware of Bubble Thinking
People don’t read print any more. Oops, unless they’re rich. People don’t watch TV. Except for the people watching TV. People all use Macs. Unless they are trying out Google Chrome (which released for the PC first). PR and Marketing are the most important part of building a business. Unless…
It’s up to us to keep our thinking open and expanded. Are you watching sources outside your little bubble? How are you challenging your thinking to make sure you’re not contributing to the merry-go-round?

Letter From God
Katrina and I were checking some things out on YouTube. We both like this nifty UK team, Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip. Their most popular tune is Thou Shalt Always Kill, which is fun itself. But this video, “Letter From God,” is interesting to consider. Do I agree with his point of view? Not necessarily, but it opened my mind up. Point to make to people thinking about the value of social media: you can explore MANY points of view for free online, spread them, and build movements with almost no cost, and with no restrictions and barriers.
What do you think?

Tools Restrict Your Thinking
Never forget that the tools you use to think, to dream, to figure something out, are also opportunities to restrict the way you think about a problem. If you’re already thinking about using a wiki for a project, or a blog, you’ve already made some decisions on all the actions that take place thereafter. Deciding on audio versus video versus text early in the project means that you’re talking tools and not the desired goals of the project. Wherever you can, think with outcomes in mind, not which tools you can use.
